Spring – Abloom Shawlette – Lady Godiva

What’s blooming in your garden?  Celebrate spring blossoms with this gradient shawlette. Knit in Hand Maiden Lady Godiva, a sumptuous paring of super-grade mulberry silk and fine wool, this project uses the decorative Dandelion stitch pattern for a embellishing motif as well as seed stitch and i-cord border.  Short row shaping allows this garment to drape well over bare shoulders or it can wrap around your neck as a kerchief style scarf.

Start in spring with the colour of your earliest blossoms and end with the full bloom of spring flowers by summer.  It’s a quick knit, knowing that many of us are also spending time in our gardens.

5 colours are a minimum though our sample is of 6 colours:  Snow Drops (Natural), Snow Crocus, Forsythia, Wisteria,  Azaleas, Lupins.

Requirements:  175g of lady Godiva total =  4 X 25g and  75g in flower colours of your choice.
