Kilim Pillow

This Kilim inspired pillow kit is inspired by striped cilium rugs and fire isle knitting. Knit using 2 colours stranded knitting technique. Once you have this technique nailed start having fun with colour and fill your home with exotic styled textiles.

Pick a colour to start creating stripes, using the dot and wave patterns as you please along with other charts in the pattern. Use the dovetail to switch colours at the end of round.

Hint: Think asymmetrical, one end not the same as the other, working a landscape, using gradients, rainbows and contrasts from light to dark including pops of colour, trying to evenly use the colours you have, Don’t worry about the bits that you don’t like – leave these in as they are, they will add add to the overall discord and harmony of your design.

Each kit comes with 6x  25g/82m  Alpaca Merino skeins + 1 pattern (mailed out with yarn)
